connective tissue, contact and grace w/ Kyra Rice
Saturday, June 30, 2 - 5p
Dancing Dog Loft, 210 N Corry St, Fort Bragg, Ca
In this 3 hour workshop we will activate the mechanics of our fascial system. By exploring and identifying the different levels of sensation that exist throughout the connective tissues within our own bodies, how might this subtle awareness inform our shared dances with others? We'll begin with basic safe landing and launching practices when dancing alone or in contact with others. Expect to work individually and in partners.
Open to all levels of movers, however some experience in contact improvisation or dance will be helpful.
Led by Kyra Rice through the lens of the Axis Syllabus,
$25
